Marvin SA Company established in 1850 at St Imier Switzerland by 2 French Brothers and was still operating as late as 1950 with the family in control. It also had the trademark of "M. & E. D" on some of its cases. My reference, United States Horological Trademark Index by Kurtis Meyers, indicates that in US usage, The Nassau was registered as a trademark by Hipp, Didisheim and Bros. of New York, on October 14, 1890.
