Description: Stockpot is 11 inches in diameter by 11 inches high. It has 2 brass handles attached with 3 copper rivets each. Handles are firm, showing no movement. Pot weighs 12 pounds. Copper lining measures 1 mm using my tape measure. I will describe as 1mm to err on the conservative side. Pot sits flat on the counter top. Mark of 28 shows below one of the handles (can be seen in photograph). It is a seamed pot, seams brazed with brass. Research indicates pot was probably made around turn of 1900. Dovetailed stockpots' handles are usually positioned to straddle the side seam, which this handle does. Copper rivets are machine made (uniform in appearance) which probably dates to post 1880 early 1900's. I never had a lid, never had a use for one. Tin lining is in good shape. Can be used, but bit of copper is beginning to be seen in curvature of bottom joining sides of pot. There is a minor dent (about 2 inches long), pictured, where bottom joins pot walls. Mauviel began marking their pans, Made in France in the 1960's. There is no maker mark on this pot. Construction indicates French in origin. I can ship this pot in a UHAUL box 16 in by 12 by 12. I would prefer double boxed into an 18 x 18 x 16. Differences in shipping cost is significant. You must decide. Would suggest pricing various carriers and purchasing before the holiday rush.
