Description: For sale is an Antique probably 19th Century moulded clay clawfoot motif tobacco pipe . Just the bowl remains as it is often the case that the smoker breaks off a little section of the pipe at the time to keep it clean and functional until the stem is fully spent. Clay pipes were made in England starting around 1600. The bowls progressively grew larger as tobacco became more available over time. Many forms and designs of clay pipe were popular in the victorian age. Some remained popular into the 1930's. 1.5" tall Feel free to check out my other antique and collectible listings.
