Antique Chinese orchard landscape painting finely painted. This Chinese painting depicting peasant farmers in the trees picking fruit out of trees, while others on the ground gathering baskets of fruit. With an autumnal landscape. Hand painting with fine brush strokes and soft natural color, mounted on brownish fine bamboo border, wooden framed, set behind glass. No calligraphy or signatures present on front. I have not opened back of frame. Discoloration in right corner is camera flash. CONDITION:Very Good Condition. The woven fabric medium is in very good condition, with no major damages, no discoloration and minor fading. Consider normal due to the ages. Small area of water discloration at bottom of bamboo border. Creases in painting at edges. APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS:SIGHT: 13"H x 17"W FRAME: 20-1/4"H x 23-1/2"W. CIRCA: Style of Early 19th Century PROVINANCE: From estate property in Buffalo, New York. Daughter as born in Peking China to Paul Reisch (father) who was the embassador diplomate to China 1919 to 1922. Died in China in 1923. He was an advisor to the Chinese government. Also was professor in political science in University of Wisconsin. His daughter moved back to Buffalo New York with all the gifts from the Chinese government that were given to her father.
