Description: An antique Chinese export porcelain teapot, made for the Persian market, and dating from between 1800 and 1840. This form is identified on the Winterthur Nadler Collection of Chinese porcelain as being made for the Islamic market. The teapot is just over 6 inches tall and approximately 9.25 inches long from handle to spout. There is some flaking around the vent hole on the lid (the tip of the pen is pointing to it), and some flaking to the strainer inside the pot. There is a faint line near the base of the spout (the pen is pointing to it) that is possibly just in the glaze - you can't even feel it. There is some age-related wear to the decoration and there are some typical manufacturing flaws - glaze skips, specks of residue in the glaze etc. I am selling a similarly decorated pot from the same collection separately. Please see the photos for details. Thank you for looking! t1 Track Page Views With Auctiva's FREE Counter
