Description: Heavy antique cast iron reclining lion in a high relief design. I am guessing it was either a doorstop or part of a set of bookends, maybe the decorative part of some andirons or fire dogs. I really am not sure. It's a great piece with plenty of character and original black coloration. It measures a hair over 6.5 inches long by almost 4.25 inches tall by 2 inches wide (including the stand). No chips or cracks. Light rusting on the back and bottom edge. A strange little splash of paint or something across the back. Please refer to the pics for better details.
