Description: Estate find, as is. Please check pictures for the condition. This beautifully painted all bisque doll is an artist reproduction of an antique Portrait Jumeau doll. It was made in 1991 by Jan Doehring from New Orleans, LA. Doehring dolls were made from the mid-1970s through the early 2000s. They have been featured in Estee Lauder commercials, and Franklin Mint bought six different designs for mass production. This doll has mohair wig, beautiful period dress with snap closure on front, matching long pantaloons, black stockings and genuine leather shoes. Gorgeous feathered headpiece, pearl necklace and earrings complete the elegant look. She comes with a metal stand, ready for display. Condition: previously was displayed in a glass cabinet and for a short period of time- on an open shelf. Very clean with minor dust residue. No smell. She can hold her pose easily. One shoe misses a satin ribbon flower. Her left stocking has a hole. (not visible, concealed by the shoe). Minor lace damage on the dress’ bottom (pictured). The necklace “closure” is a twisted wire that holds the pearls. No damage or cracks observed on her body.
