Pen is in the shape of a bird feather. Advertising on this quill pen reads: Compliments of NEW YORK EGG CASE CO. 519 W. 42ND STREET NEW YORK CITY. It is in used condition with an old bend where the feather base meets calamus (the open shaft). Near the top tip it reads in raised letters: MADE IN GERMANY. Size is about 9-1/2" x 1" wide. Feather is about the thickness of a sheet of paper. Very delicate. Amazing it has lasted all these years!
