Description: From a local estate is this charming antique 19th century English ABC plate with a transfer printed scene of boys playing marbles. There is a printed saying beneath the scene “Little boys at marbles play on the summer holiday”. The plate is 6" in diameter, and it has an impressed mark on the back which looks like a group of small square shaped dots. Condition: overall very good. The detail of the scene is quite good and crisp. There is some overall light crazing to the glaze as expected and some very light browning in some spots.
