Antique 1923 Nickel Compact Makeup Powder Mirror Floral Turquoise Engravings

Description: Fantastic Antique marked Aug. 7, 1923 Silver Plated (on outside cover only, interior is nickel & stamped) Compact Makeup Powder Mirror. Fabulous etchings & engravings of floral detailing adorn the outside rim & border of this piece & the front top cover is embellished w/open carved out flowers & stems over what looks to be possible turquoise colored enamel or paint over metal mesh. Never seen another like this! Inside features a cover over the powder portion of the compact which according to antiques Appraisers is very rare & highly collectible. Inside cover is marked "Patented" & underneath that the date "AUG.7.23" According to research it was made by The Illinois Watchcase Co.This is a very rare piece and was part of an elderly woman's estate closing.
