Beautiful, and Rare to find in excellent condition, they are a 100 years old!This wonderful and rare little 1920s purse was originally a beautiful Japanese souvenir for the export market ... and today they're highly collectable as well as useful! Made of a type of faux-suede, both sides of the exterior have been both hand painted & intricately inlaid with metals and slate to create scenes from rural Japanese life, set against the backdrop of the famous Mt. Fuji. This beautiful piece has its original braided strap/handle & ornate chrome frame with kiss-clasp. Good vintage condition. The interior mirror has been broken and taped rather than remove the original glass (see photos).
