The Chelsea Porcelain Works were purchased in 1769 by Royal Crown Derby/William Duesbury and operated as Chelsea-Derby from 1769-1784. In a handleless form with a scalloped gilt rim and footrim, and floral swags throughout. Marked to the base with the Chelsea-Derby gold cursive C & anchor mark. With an old antiquarian's label to the bowl. Simply a wonderful piece of porcelain from Chelsea-Derby! Date:1769 - 1784 Overall Condition:It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Condition Details 6There is some rubbing to the gilding, principally to the rim. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
