Ethnic Copper Vessel Hand Made Hanging Water Pot Vase For your consideration is an amazing antique hanging vesselAll hand chased thick copper body attached to a hand wrought iron chainThe attached holding hoops are also made from copperPlease notice the early technique of joining the copper sheetsThe double sided chain, the hook and the hoops are all originalIntricate vasi-form, slightly hexagonal towards the baseCirca late 1700's early 1800's, possibly made by Armenians in Ottoman EmpireIt came in a pair with a larger one, listed separately. Measurements: Approx. 21" with extended chain and hook, the pot only is 8.5" tall x 5.25" x 5" overall Weighs about 1 lb. 8 oz. Condition: Very Good overall. Some shallow dents here and there on the body, oxidation on the iron, commensurate with age and use. Very old repair on the body. Please see photos below. All original.
