Description: Antique 1830-1870 Parian Porcelain Syrup Jug Bennington Vermont AS IS NO LID. Also has small chip on base may be manufacturer flaw and a few gray specks in the porcelain, possibly dirt when fired. See photos. 5 1/4 x 3 3/4 x 3 in. A duplicate of this piece with the lid is currently on exhibit at the Met Gallery 774.Gifted to the museum in 1947. They have it listed as probably made in Bennington Vermont. Very nice piece of porcelain even without it's pewter lid. There is a Bearded Gentleman's face on the front of the pitcher.
