Description: A fine impressionist coastal scene of the Provincetown docks or piers by Estonian American artist Andrew George Winter (1893-1958). Winter was born in Sindi, Estonia and spent much of his young life sailing on British and American vessels, eventually becoming an American citizen in 1921, studying at the National Academy of Design and settling on Monhegan Island, Maine, becoming known for his marine and landscape paintings.
