It does have black and white sketches and beautiful art pieces signed by Arthur Szyk. It contains some familiar stories, "The Red Shoes," "The Ugly Duckling," and "The Princess and the Pea." Aesop's Fables was originally printed in 1947. This edition in 1982. The drawings are by Fritz Kredel. You know the fables of "The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" and "The Ant and the Grasshopper." But in both books, you'll find something you do not know! These books are part of an Illustrated Junior Library by Grosset & Dunlap. These have been in my house only. They will be shipped in a box and well protected.
