Description: Lot of 4 Neolithic Flint Blades from North Africa dated c.6000 B.C. from the auction/collector I purchased them from. These are small early samples of larger blades that were later made by the Canaanites and traded throughout the Mediterranean area. Joshua used Canaanite flint knives to circumcise the Israelites before entering into Canaan. These are bifacially tapered and slightly curved with worked edges. The largest is 2". PLEASE SEE THE PHOTOS FOR ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. I PERSONALLY DO NOT BELIEVE THE DATING BUT I HAVE NO PROBLEM ACCEPTING THEIR MAKING BY EARLY MAN IN NORTH AFRICA. These were part of a larger collection that I purchased from a New York Auction. Provenance: Private East Coast Collection, Ex; Fortuna Fine Art.
