Description: This is an original 1958 hardcover printing of "American Culinary Art," written by August Forster and published by Ahrens Publishing Company. The topics covered can be seen on the contents page in my 9th photo and focus on the practical and artistic elements of food preparation, hosting, and decorating. Overall, the copy being offered is in fair condition with several cosmetic flaws, but it remains an excellent reading copy. As you'll see in my first five photos, the covers have a lot of wear (particularly in the corners) and noticeable brown staining. Inside, the pages are well-bound and crisp, but brown stains are found throughout the book, and all pages have a mild basement smell, both of which indicate that this book was stored in a basement or other humid area for an extended time.
