Description: American Cinema Awards September 10, 1983 program signed by Buddy Rogers. This was the first annual American cinema awards presentation in Beverly Hills California. The admission ticket stub is stapled inside the first page. I got Buddy Rogers( 1904-1999, actor was married to Mary Pickford until her death in 1979)autograph but there were many stars walking around but it was crowded out front and hard to get their autographs when the show was over. This special program was hosted by Angie Dickinson and it honored Joseph Cotten, Frances Dee(wife of Joel McCrea), Janet Gaynor, Ruby Keeler and Joel McCrea. This all star salute to classic film stars was presented by David Gest( d. 2016). This program is in very good condition with just some splitting inside the spine at the back page by the staples. Lots of photos of each of the honored film stars…very nice collectible! 76 pages, program measures 8 1/2” x 11”.
