Description: This beautiful Folding Poco No 18 camera is a 5 x 7 double extension long bellows camera. It was made by the American Camera Manufacturing Co in 1904 and there are not many of them. The bellows in the camera look good for display purposes but has tears in the creases and are not light tight. (see pictures of bellows) The brass barrel lens is a Planatic 5 x 7 Series III lens made by the Century Camera Co. The aperture (B, T and six speeds) works but the shutter does not. The lens board is either mahogany (I think) or rosewood. It has a few small scratches, but overall it is in very good condition. The handle is tight and looks almost new. The camera opens and closes easily and the bellows pull out and go back into the camera easily. It has two tripod holes. The back opens to display a piece of glass with pencil lines intentionally drawn on it. The entire back of the camera comes off too. The leatherette covering shows some wear but is in very good condition for it's age (about 119 years old.) There are a few areas that the leatherette is coming up and could use a little glue. The camera is 8 3/4 inches high, 8 1/2 inches wide and 12 inches long. This is a beautiful camera that would look wonderful displayed on a bookshelf, curio, hearth or antique tripod. I tried to take a lot of pictures to show you the camera. Thanks for looking.
