Found this online: Alexander Trineev was born in Gorky (1962), where he studied at the High School of Art. While working as an artist, he moved to St. Petersburg where he completed the Muchina Art Academy. From 1987 his work can be seen at all city exhibitions in St. Petersburg. With the group Bojevie Sloni, of which Alexander Trineev is the founder, he conquers the Petersburg public. In the early 1990s he exhibited in Norway, Germany, France and the Netherlands. Fallen down by illness, he is forced to withdraw from public life. For several years he has been working intensively with his friend and colleague Victor Anufriev. Alexander Trineev's work is restrained, tender and loving. In recent years he has concentrated more and more on more traditional work, especially the Russian icon.
