Description: I have here a great akai gx-77 reel to reel tape recorder. I serviced this one and it is working great. I replaced 5 high voltage capacitors . I replaced all of the belts with new factory belts. I did put a screw to hold the spring tight on the loading roller. I cleaned and demagnitized the heads. All knobs and switches were cleaned. I also cleaned the switches on the bottom board. I cleaned the cam gear also. The deck plays and records in both directions. It makes very clean recordings with no bleed over. The fast forward and rewind work great . The auto shut-off switch works great. I did have to service it. This deck is ready to rock. I ship UPS Ground , and i do my own packing, which makes the machine safe for the trip.
