Krohach – Bavaria - Germany Exotic Chinese Birds And Berries Vase Designed by Karl Nossek Being offered on this auction is a vase made by Kaiser-Porzellanmanufaktur (former Porzellanfabrik AL-KA Kunst Alboth & Kaiser) in their Staffelstein factory near Krohach, Bavaria Germany. It is of famous German Op-Art line. It has beautiful shape of open flower. It has thicker ring close to its base and looks footed because of this. Vase is of white background. It is decorated with embossed pictures of two exotic birds perching on a vine of Chinese berries. Birds are shown in brown. Berries are bright pink. They magnificently catch your eye. Leafs are in green. Vase is fully glazed. Looks splendid. AK Kaiser was the leading manufacturer of such decorative vases in 1970s. They were marked with ‘AK Kaiser Exclusive’ adhesive stickers. Artist Kar Nossek designed this vase. He was known for his expressive design work made for Porzellanfabrik Seltmann and Porzellanfabrik Winterling. He created numerous artistic vases for AL-KA Kaiser. Mark on the backside dates production of 1970s. Other marking is number 711 written in gold. Vase measures about 4 ½” in its widest diameter and stands 9 ¼” tall. Condition is immaculate with no cracks or chips found. Colors are bright and vibrant.
