Description: AGLAOMORPHA SPECIOSA!! (aka Aglaomorpha acuminata) **THE RAREST OF THE RARE!!** Certainly the ONLY Aglaomorpha to make a COMPOUND FROND!!!! No other Aglaomorpha is like it at all! THIS PLANT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED LARGE (I have sold a medium plant on eBay which was substantially smaller)What can I say... These were divisions that were done WELL over a year ago from my giant specimen plant. IT TOOK A MORE THAN A YEAR JUST FOR THEM TO BE READY! This is a BRUTALLY slow grower but will yield you a specimen worthy of the greatest fern collectors anywhere on earth! The rhizome growths it makes are a glaucus sort of bluish, whitish and the fronds are... well just insane. Compound fronds that do not look like they should even be on a FERN!These plants are mature and they will make spore appendages in the spring which is when they do.This plant is "LARGE" sized by my definition and in reality the basked is a MASSIVE 12 inch, weighing quite a bit. This was set up with MULTIPLE rhizome growths. Since there are established growths in multiple rhizomes, I am able to sell it now. Be aware, it is LIKELY that you will see growths coming out of MANY MORE places!!! The process of growing is slow but this one is now rocking and rolling. It is not hard to grow but by all accounts it is the slowest aglaomorpha (and thats scary to say as aglaomorphas arent exaclty fast growers). This is one of those plants that you look at as a bit of a time investment. In 1.5 to 2 yrs, this thing will absolutely be out of this world, but for now, its definately just slow and steady as it continues to keep growing.**I have sort of "run out ways of describing plants that are insanely rare". Saying that this is "rare" is an understatement of epic proportion. This plant is virtually never sold. As such, if you're an epiphyte collector, a tropical plant collector, a fern collector or a collector of obscure and exotic tropical plants - this is an outstanding opportunity to own this plant. If you like owning plants that exist in only a few collections in the USA... this is certainly one of them!PHOTO 1-4- This is the specimen plant which was divided and yielded the plant for sale. These pictures are provided so you can see TRULY how OTHERWORLDLY this plant IS and this one will be.PHOTOS 5-8 This is the actual basket and plant(s) exhibiting new growth now. This monster is what you will receive!!!Again.. what more can I say.... I offer some of the rarest plants in the world, certainly some of the rarest ferns in the world, and there is no short cuts to getting a plant such as this. It only becomes MORE valuable as time goes on. It does not become "less valuable" or "devaluate", as the growth rate of this species is slow and there are no ways to skirt around that fact. **Photos are provided to give you a good view of the plant. Plants are not always flawless. Sometimes there are imperfections (as with virtually all plants and any living thing)! Plants are packed in order to eliminate the possibility of damage however sometimes things happen that cannot be controlled. Shipping a plant always provides for a possibility of some damage to leaves, etc. **The overall health of a plant is not defined by the perfection of every single physical facet of the plant. Most sentient people know this! If you're not clear on what this means, please don't bid or buy. I only sell plants to people who understand what they are buying and what mail ordering plants is. I sell plants that I would be happy to receive myself. Ground shipping to the CONTINENTAL USA (LOWER 48 STATES - The states that TOUCH each other - so Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico do not apply) only (FedEx or UPS - my choice). $12 S/H. **If you have an interest in potentially purchasing this plant, but you're not in the continental USA, you need to contact me FIRST for shipping quotes, as there is no ground shipping available outside of the continental USA. AGAIN, if you're in Hawaii, Alaska (not likely) or Puerto Rico you need to reach out regarding shipping before purchase.***** IMPORTANT NOTE: READ THIS: PLANTS ARE SHIPPED ONE or TWO DAYS PER WEEK! My schedule doesnt allow for any other way. Please keep that in mind. Thank you for looking and please look at my other plant sales.
