Originally published in the UK as Lord Edgeware Dies, this novel is the ninth featuring Christie's famous Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot. In the book, Poirot is asked by an actress to help her in getting a divorce from her husband, Lord Edgeware. The next day, however, Lord Edgeware turns up dead, and Poirot must solve the mystery of his murder. The book has been very popular since its publication. It was made into a 1934 film, starring Austin Trevor as Poirot, and was later adapted twice for television, in 1985 and 2000. This book is in very condition, with one very small (0.5") tear on the bottom of the spine but otherwise no major signs of wear.
