It grows in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Burma in deciduous forests. It can reach 30 meters tall with a trunk up to 2 meters in diameter in a mature specimen. This particular figure from this species is extremely rare. We are one of the only suppliers in the USA that has this figure for sale at present. It was sourced responsibly from Laos in 2003 from a local road builder. This wood has been air dried in our climate-controlled building since that time and cut into knife and pen blanks for craftsmen.
