Description: This is a matted antique engraving from Harper's Weekly, an illustrated newspaper published in 1869. The prints in this series have text on the reverse, and are printed on what is called rag paper, an antique paper that is stronger and far more durable than the newspaper material we use today.TITLE: SPAIN -- SIGNATURE AT MADRID OF THE PETITION FOR THE ABOLITION OF SLAVERY ARTIST: NOT IDENTIFIED CONDITION: EXCELLENT -- The prints in this series are clear, clean and bright; no tears or folds. A really fine image. Excellent definition. Nice clean, sharp lines, and wide margins. This print is about 150 years old and guaranteed to be original. It is an authentic old print from the aforementioned newspaper and NOT A MODERN REPRODUCTION.The visible part of the print, including the white border (if any) is about 6 1/2" x 9 1/2". Matted the print measures 11" x 14". This is a standard size matte that will fit into a standard size frame.
