Description: Plans for "Foamy" a 8' boat made from Plyfoam. The unsinkable feature of Foamy is brought about by the use of 1/2in. Plyfoam, an expanded polyvinyl chloride in sheet form. It is cut and shaped easily, with a razor blade and a surform rasp. The inside of the hull is glassed before assembly with the sections flat. Flat glassing is a cinch for beginners while glassing the inside of a curved hull is next to impossible for a neophyte. The seams are overlapped after assembly with fiberglass tape. Weighs just 27 lbs. Can be powered by a small outboard motor. Also includes plans for a 16' Skiff, that can be sailed or outboard motor powered Plywood construction. Simple design.
