Description: DESCRIPTION FOR THIS ITEM/S: This came out of one of our 1980 Trans Ams. This will fit 70-81 Camaros, Firebirds, and Trans Ams. The spider gears are welded, so it makes it drive like a locker / posi rear end, Please view the pictures. This is a 10 bolt 8.5" rear end with 3.70 gears. This rear end spins real nice. This has aftermarket gears, from a company name Richmond, the gears have been welded to create a posi rear end, see pictures. The housing is a little rusty but with a little sanding or wire wheeling, and some fresh paint on the housing, this will look nice. I would recommend giving this a new brake job. This rear end measures about, 61-1/4" From where the wheels would sit (outside of drum to outside of drum) and from the inside of the backing plates its about 54-1/4", the spring perches measure about 42-1/4" from inside to inside and about 47-3/4" from outside to outside.
