The Fruit is twice the size of the biggest fruits and has the best taste of any variety I have tried. The seeds came from a plant on a Co-Op and I have no idea where it came from but from my research it looks like it's either a "Zill" or a "Regina". Surinam cherry is a must have for making mix berry jams and jellies and one of my personal favorites. Plants grow as a large shrub or bush, with a medium size deep dark red (almost black) cherry fruit with a very strong flavor of berries and citrus with a very mild "pine" taste. Grows well in the shade and can be a very heavy producer. Plant comes in a standard 2x2x3.5inch nursery pot with a house made high-end soil blend of peat, worm castings, organic composted yard waist and perlite mixed with top grade local soil. All plants are grown in a green house and are given water only from a carefully calibrated aquaponics system for superior strength in plant and soil microbes for maximum growth.
