Description: 6 SILICONE Fountain Pen Sacs-Size 18. These sacs are 100 % Silicone. The 18 size works well with the larger fountain pens. The sac is 3.17"((80.51mm) long and about .27"(6.85mm) wide. The neck is .47"(11.93mm) long. Silicone sacs are excellent as they are not affected by the more acidic inks produced today. They also do not off-gas so one does not have to worry about discoloring their valuable celluloid pens. It is important to remember that the Silicone sacs are somewhat more permeable then their latex counterparts so it is advisable to keep them slightly upright otherwise the ink could seep into the feeds. When using you want to cut off the neck of the sac. This is not a functional part of the sac like with the latex sacs. To adhere these one should use a silicone adhesive.
