Work your jig close to the bottom, you should be able to feel the bottom between twitches. Most of the jigs offered at the big box stores are too light and you end up jigging in the higher water column, away from the fish. A Rapala loop knot is used to tie the teaser and jig (you can search Youtube for a video on how to tie). This way you can easily switch the teaser if needed.
