These breathtaking, scallop-rimmed, porcelain dessert plates are hand-painted with individual assortments of colorful multiflorals. The edges are encrusted with glimmering, 22K gold. The bottoms are labeled with a Nautilus Porcelain trademark as well as the artist's initials, "N.J.R.", and the 1906 year. The "M" in the Nautilus Porcelain trademark stands for MacDougall, the surname of the brothers who owned the Scottish porcelain works. Each plate measures approximately 6-5/8 inches in diameter. These century-old plates are in EXCELLENT condition. The colors are rich, and the details are distinct. The finish is lustrous, and the gold is glossy. There are no cracks, crazing, breaks or repairs. There are no chips on five of the plates. Please note there is slight wear to the gold, and there is a tiny, 1/16-inch surface chip in the well of one plate. See the photos for further clarification.
