These pieces are used and from an estate collection and are in good to very good condition with very few signs of wear and tear, marks or scratches or other imperfections. My latest auction features a portion of the extensive collection of miniatures belonging to Anne Day Smith (October 14, 1937 ~ October 31, 2018). Anne was a beloved and treasured member of the miniatures community and worked tirelessly as author and reporter to tell the stories of the mini movers and shakers, the artists, the makers, the collectors and the enthusiasts in our little world. She began writing about the hobby as early as the 1970s and published 4 books and wrote numerous articles for industry magazines and newspapers. Her contributions were plentiful; she served as chairman of NAME, the National Association of Miniature enthusiasts and Board Member of IGMA, the International Guild of Miniature Artisans to name a few. She traveled throughout the world, attended miniature shows, supported the artisans, took classes in miniature making while collecting tiny treasures along the way! This sale includes more than 75 lots of 1/12 scale dollhouse miniature structures/roomboxes, sterling silver, decorative porcelain and pottery, artisan and commercial furniture as well as themed collections. The pieces are in “good” to “excellent” condition (see key below) and may show some expected signs of wear and tear due to age. Some may need some light cleaning upon arrival. It is not believed that these pieces have come from a smoker’s home. High resolution photos are provided for each listing, and you are encouraged to enlarge the photos for a detailed viewing of each piece that you are interested in BEFORE choosing to place a bid.
