BuckskinThis is a secret Colorado pattern – simple but deadly. Andy just spilled the secret as this may be one of the most productive nymph patterns ever. The buckskin when wet looks very much like a fleshy nymph and that’s what trout love. Andy adds a bit of crystal flash to stimulate the bite. Sizes #12, #14 & #16 Chocolate MidgeAndy's version can be fished as a nymph deep or an emerger perfect under a dropper pattern. Copper wire is ribbing on the brown thread making great contrast for the fly. There is also a small tuft of white hair behind the hook eye.
