Description: Reproduction German WWII Russian Front Buttonhole RibbonButton hole Ribbon or wide ribbon bar, correct 25mm width. Often called the “Order of Frozen Meat”, the medal was awarded to all German personnel who were stationed in Russia during the Winter of 1941. However, like the Iron Cross 2nd Class, only the ribbon was worn on the uniform. This award was authorized through the fall of 1943 as it took that long to type the necessary paperwork to make the award to those members of the German armed forces who were still living.
