Colorado Yarrow is hardy, easy, generously blooming perennial. Easy to grow from seed and naturally spreads by underground runners. They do well in very poor soil, even shallow rocky soil. Just do not give them too much shade or too rich of soil. Yarrow has been in herb gardens for centuries as a medicinal herb to heal wounds. Along with it's fragrant scent from the aromatic leaves, it is great with borders, mixing in with wild flowers or a stand of their own. Dead head for more continuous blooms and may want to divide every 2 or 3 years. They do become drought tolerant, but do well with a little water. They can stand high heat and humidity. Yarrows all make a superb cut or dried flower and very hardy!
