The feeder is basically a round bale cover that is made out of netting that completely encases the round bale. This net works great and saves a lot of money and waste. It should double the life of a round bale. Can be used with or without a round hay ring. We don't recommend using this net for horses with shoes without a metal hay ring. This is a complete extra heavy duty 8 M.M. white 1 1/2" white braided nylon #84 net that will fit a 5' foot high by 5' foot wide (diameter) round hay bale. It has 1 1/2" inches holes which will allow your horses to eat without making a mess of the whole bale. It will slow their hay consumption down by half, depending on the horse. Horses are known to graze just about 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They don't need to consume that much hay. It will also eliminates waste because it keeps them from pulls out big chucks and most of it falling to the ground. The hay net feeder is made from #84 sports white nylon netting. Each strand is over 800 pound test. You will save enough money in hay very quickly to cover the cost of the net. The net is reusable over and over again. How many times you can reuse the net will depend on your horses but this #84 white braided nylon 1 1/2" and 2" is double the thickness and strengths of the average round bale hay nets, the #84 is close to 8 m.m. which is a very heavy duty hay net. If you are looking for a hay net to extend the life of your bale but not slow the consumption of hay. We have the 4" - #48 white square mesh netting and the 4" - #72 white diamond mesh netting. Please message me if you're interested as I don't have them listed yet. This net is super easy to install. Just pull the net over one end of your bale. Flip the bale over and tie off the other end with the pre-installed rope. Installing in just 2 or 3 minutes. This net is not recommend for farm animals with small feet such as goats. Their feet may become tangled in the netting. If your bales are a different size, please message us though Ebay, we probably have that size net listed in another listing. We also offer nets with 1" and 1 1/4", 2", 4", holes. If you will be using this net without a metal hay ring, we don't recommend using it for horses with shoes as the shoes may become caught in the net.
