This set is done in a classic form and the front of each handle has a hand engraved monogram of the initials SW.The back of each piece is marked with the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of the king's head, a date letter l for the year 1786 and a maker's mark for Hester Bateman.This set is in good condition, especially for its age.
