This past winter I put this cover on and also covered it with a polyester tarp. The combination did a great job of protecting my boat. During this past Spring, Summer and Fall I only used this cover since I often used my boat. This Winter I noticed a small tear in the cover and soon more an more appeared and grew larger. (see attached photo). Other than just normal exposure to the sun and elements for less than 8 or 9 months, this cover has not been abused. For what it cost I would have expected to get more than 1 year of usefulness. Apparently the company's version of UV resistance and mine are quite different. As you can see from the pic, my seat extends above the gunwales and the the cover still fits my boat well. It has an elastic cord at the bottom of the cover, keeping it snug around the circumference of the boat. Also, it's easy to handle if you launch by yourself. Long straps allow you to strap around your trailer, should you wish to do so. I bought this for my 14 foot Lowe Rover Jon which has a mod-V bow. I have bass boat seats installed, I leave them in the up-right position when I put the cover on, this helps the water run off when it rains. There is room for cover to fit over trolling motor installed on bow.My boat has a 60 inch beam and this cover fits great with seats up to give the cover some arch and allow water to run off and I have about a 3 inch overlap on the sides.Quality wise, the cover is thick and sturdy, should last a while unless left in the sun continuously which will probably deteriorate it quicker. The straps provided are great they hold the cover on nice and snug. I keep it under a covered shed, however I wanted something to just keep the leaves and dust off it. This cover seems to be ideal for that. It's not a heavy duty cover and you surely could not pull your boat with this cover on it. It takes some time to put the cover on due to the many straps it has. I ordered the large one and it does cover my motor too. Would not recommend this cover to kept the boat dry from rain or snow or to hold up outside in the elements. They are very generic and talk about several different boat covers. A person has to figure out how it all works. This cover does NOT cover the motor, and you have to be sure to get the back of the boat covered so the rain doesn't go in the back of the boat. It has no problem with 65 mph speeds. If you want to keep water from pooling on it you will need to put some pvc hoops in your boat to allow the water to run off. While camping had a thunderstorm which put down over 1/2 inch of water, which had to be bailed because it pooled up on the cover. The side release buckles won't hold too much weight and will fail in time, just like any others, so have some handy for when they break.
