Description: 3 WWI Antique Patriotic Postcards. Lady Victory, Cadets, Liberty Bell 1910 era This is a nice group of PATRIOTIC antique postcards from the very early 1900s. They were published for GREETINGS as well as BEST WISHES, and they could have been used for Fourth Of July celebrations. The postcards are colorful with USA flags and patriotic symbols. These postcards are flat printed. The postcards have nice patriotic messages. One shows a standing LADY VICTORY holding the USA flag. Another shows the US Cadets at attention. The third shows the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia. These postcards were published by Illustrated Postal Cards, a respected USA publisher of that era. The publisher of these postcards, Illustrated Postal Card (1904-14; New York, Berlin), was a major USA publisher of postcards and published in Germany (Leipzig, Saxony). Besides postcards, they also published fine art cards that were very popular. The company has a distinctive eagle trademark logo and is considered as one of the “most wanted publishers” by collectors. They produced many beautifully embossed, heavy embossed (with an extra sheet on the back), air brushed, and glitter postcards. They were one of the most respected publishing houses during the “Golden Age of Postcards” (1908-1915 era). These are collector items because of their age, their colorful design, and their overall appeal to those collecting Patriotic antique postcards. They also have a nice glimpse of life back in that era. The postcards are UNPOSTED (1) and POSTED (2) with cancel dates of 1910. These postcards have DIVIDED backs. These postcards were probably "Made in USA". These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning, and edge wear due to their age (over 100 years old!). The photos show the postcards and their backs.
