Description: Pabst Beer Tapa & Drink Rainier & DREWRYS LTD 3 VINTAGE Beer bottle/can openers San Francisco & USA & WINNIPEG There are three (3) metal bottle openers in this lot. The first opener is a Pabst Beer Tapa can opener. made in the USA. It measures 5-inches x ¾ inch. One side has “For Opening Pabst Tapa Can Made in the USA”. The other side has “For beer in cans marked Canco Keglined Patent 1996550 Trademark Am Can Co.”. I do not know how old this opener is but the patent was granted in 1935. Opener is in excellent condition except for some surface rust that does not affect the integrity of the opener. The second opener is from Rainier brewing - One side has “DRINK Rainier BEER.” It measures 5-inches x 1 1/2-inchs. The other side has “RAINIER BREWING CO., INC.” San Francisco. I do not know how old this is but Rainier Brewing was active in San Francisco from 1933-1953. I bought it when I lived in Oakland in 1976. Opener is in excellent condition except for darkening of the surface. There is no rust so I do not think it is an iron alloy. There is slight blue-green discoloration similar to copper reactions, so I think this might be a copper alloy, probably brass. The third opener is from Drewry’s Ltd brewing. It measures 3 ¼ -inches x 1 ½ inch. One side has “THE DREWRYS LTD Ale Beer Stout”. The other side has “ORDER PHONE (with numbers) WINNIPEG”. I do not know how old this opener is but Drewrys merged with Associated Brew Co. in 1963, so the opener was made prior to that merger. The phone number listed has 5 numbers which was common from 1917 to 1947, so I believe that is the time frame for production of this opener. Opener is in excellent condition except for some surface rust that does not affect the integrity of the opener. Scans/Pictures are of the exact items you will receive.
