NOTE -- for salt water it is best to change hooks to saltwater hooks.This has been one of my all time best GO-TO lures of all time I regularly catch nice trout with the chrome & blue Kastmaster & Casting Spoon.I have caught multiple species of Saltwater Fish after upgrading the hook on this lure.I have caught all sizes of fish with this lure in 1/8 oz to 3/8 oz while casting off shore (salt Water). While you will NOT believe the following, BUT I will tell you anyways.I do not recall but think I had either the 1/8 oz or 1/4 oz version of this lure and... I once caught a super large grouper (I estimate around 200 pounds but released it.).It was over 5 feet long. I was only using 18 pound test and fought it gently for about 2 hours.Luckily it did not take many long runs. I have habitually caught large fish on much lighter line... as long as you can keep them from running out your spool. Each Year I go fishing with my Mother In Cucharra Valley Colorado (from LaVeta to Trinidad).She is pushing 90 and i am not so young anymore but this is one of my best trout catching lures each year. A note on the salt water: I caught fish with various retrieves. Moderate retrieve to super slow.Twitch & retrieve with pause. Sometimes bouncing off or near bottom.
