These are everything from promotional items you will see for sale from time to time, to artifacts that are 1 of 1 or produced in extremely small quantities and may be the only surviving example left. Each item is a part of my personal collection. Background: Over 30+ years of Neo Geo experience, starting with a white box system (pre gold/silver system launch) as a fan. I grew up during the golden age of arcades, visiting my first one in the late 70's and playing all of the classics at release through the 80's. Starting with PONG and Breakout at home, Atari 400/800, NES, Lynx, TG, then finally the Neo Geo. I started with the Neo Geo at launch and spent a solid 15 years dedicating a significant portion of my free time to the hobby. Going from superfan and serious collector to distributor to defendant - it was a long fun ride. A part of that was probably the largest video game buyout of all time. NeoGeoFreak went from distributor to liquidator when SNK of Japan was in dire financial condition and needed cash. We not only purchased all remaining stock of AES along with CD games and systems, we also took the opportunity to preserve thousands of artifacts that would have otherwise been lost forever. I think it is time to share some of these items with a new generation of fans. Summary: I was a part of the SNK/Neo Geo universe from beginning to end. Not just as a fan, but also as a business partner and financial investor when times were tough for them. As the co-founder of the largest private Neo Geo related enterprise of that era, with access to the SNK offices, trade shows, etc. we had the ability and desire to preserve artifacts that would have never survived the turmoil of the late days of SNK. The knowledge gathered during those years is what makes NGF the foremost authority on everything Neo Geo.
