Description: There are a pair of antique Theodore Haviland oval platters. The bigger platter has length 13 7/8" and wight 10 1/2", and smaller platter has length 11 1/4" and wight 8 3/4". The smaller platter is unmarked, the bigger platter has a "Theodore Haviland Limoges France" mark. This backstamp was first used in 1903. They came from a local estate sale.This antique Theodore Haviland pattern features delicate pink rose sprays against green scrollwork. The white dishware rims are smooth with no surface embossing. In buying vintage, you will find minor scratches, scuffs, different colored, patina or other 'evidence' of the items previous use. The bigger platter has a fabric defect on the bottom - see photos.
