Or use them separately to make two exquisite belt buckles. These are tiny, less than an inch high. The cut steel is in incredible shape. There is no rust whatsoever to any of the beads and they have great shine. The backs show a little wear, see images. The prongs are brass. There are tiny spaces between the beads that you can use for stitching. What’s amazing is that each tiny bead is riveted to the base by hand. Each buckle has 48 rivets for a total of 96 for the pair, so you can imagine the time and labor that went into making these. These types of cut steel buckles were almost always made in France.
