Description: Presented is a nice set pair of American coin silver teaspoons made by John Allen Shaw of Newport, Rhode Island. Shaw was active as a silversmith from around 1802 to 1819. The spoons are done in a classic Fiddle pattern with the old original monogram of PST engraved on the ends. The spoons are stamped on the reverse with a maker’s mark of I. A. Shaw. Tested and guaranteed to be 900 purity coin silver. The spoons have surface wear commensurate with age and light use, and some small dents and dings here and there, but otherwise the condition is excellent. There are no major dents, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs. The spoons are 5 1/2 inches long. The weight is 21.1 grams or 0.7 ounces. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
