Description: These beautiful vintage framed prints from the 1940s feature two stunning portraits of Elena and Chicko, painted by Anne Allaben. The portraits are done on board and under glass keeping the elements from them. The artist's skillful brushstrokes capture the essence of these two charming gypsy children, making them a true joy to behold. The blue in their out fits is clear, they are very well preserved. The print was produced using a high-quality printing technique, ensuring that it would last for years to come. The boards are held in the frames by very small nail brads. This piece is a must-have for any art enthusiast who appreciates the beauty and complexity of gypsy culture.History: Anne Allaben Farrell 1916-2009, United States artist and illustrator. Anne Allaben worked for the Edward Gross Co in NY as well as the C.R. Gibson Co. She was known primarily for her charming portraits of children and babies. Many of these art prints were sold in framed pairs. Both are in very good condition. Size of frames are 8" X 10". The boards are held in the frames by very small nail brads. I left them as is and didn't take the art or the nails out of the frames. The backing that I can see is some sort of board. There is wear to the frames due to age. Please see photos. Sorry for the glare on the photos as I did the best I could.Stands are not included.
