Description: Here is a beautiful collectible copy of Vision In Spring by William Faulkner. This is a first edition first ever trade printing of a one off copy that Faulkner hand produced for his soon to be wife in 1921. This is a sequence of fourteen love poems presented to his future wife Estelle Oldham Franklin. It was submitted for publication in 1923 but was told by the Four Seas Company it was unable to publish it. It was the first book-length work the young Faulkner had ever submitted for publication. The manuscript was eventually lost until a photocopy of it was recently discovered. And here we have it. The binding is square and tight and immaculate throughout. The maroon cloth boards are spotless and the copper gilt lettering is bright and beautiful as shown. The dust jacket is complete and as usual with university press publications was issued without any price anywhere. There is only light wear along the edges of this jacket as can be seen in the images provided. There is a previous book seller’s stamped price and date very lightly on the front free endpaper. This copy will make a wonderful addition to any collection or library. Please see all pics and ask any questions you may have and as always I never list ex library or book club editions so buy with confidence. And please check out my 100% positive seller feedback!!! Thanks for looking.
