Description: *********** Up for auction is an original, large, old cabinet card photograph. You're looking at a snapshot in time from the Pacific Northwest in the town of BELLINGHAM, WA . On this particular corner you could shop at THE PENNSYLVANIA STORE and/or go to THE SALINE VALLEY BANK. There's also a UNION PACIFIC TELEPHONE sign hanging outside one of the doorways (if you look closely). The two men sitting above the bank door opening appear to be linemen. If anything goes wrong with the wires, they didn't have to be a phone call away. After all, there was quite a bit going on in this town over the years... gold mining, coal mining, the logging industry, canneries. No rest for the weary. On the back of the photo, handwritten in pencil, it states: "This store in Bellingham Wash is where cousin Cora (Wales) Cheney worked 32 years". That's a mighty long time... The cabinet card photo is a larger one and shows nicely. It measures approximately 10.25" x 8"(actual image size approximately 9.25" x 7.75"). When viewing the pictures of the auction item, please take note of the *actual measurements* of the item in description. In some cases, photos are enlarged to show detail. Condition as pictured.
